_”Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”_Assume there’s a delivery man who’s come to give you a parcel that’s bearing your name. Before receiving it, you’ve noticed that there are snakes in that package. Would you receive it although it is written in your name? For sure you wouldn’t. Why? Because you aren’t a recipient of bad things. In fact, you would send that delivery man away at once!
The Scripture above presents to us an important truth. It says by the stripes of Jesus you were healed. The verse is not saying that you will be healed or you are healed but you WERE HEALED (past tense). This signifies to us that it’s unnecessary, illegal and absolutely wrong for a child of God to be sick. A child of God is supposed to walk in divine health 24 hours a day and from January to December. Healing is a done deal!
Someone may be asking: “What if I feel some symptoms of a sickness or what if there are physical signs that I am sick, aren’t those indications that I am sick?” The answer is an absolute NO! You are not sick! Those ‘feelings’ are mere trials or temptations to your faith. Don’t succumb to them.
The moment that you confess and embrace that you are sick, that sickness or disease becomes yours—you own it. It’s like receiving a package full of snakes, which you would have refused, like in the story above.
You need to hate sickness with passion since Jesus already healed you. None of these diseases can attack you if you walk in this consciousness.
*PRAYER*
Precious Father, thank You for showing me Your goodness today. I know I am not supposed to be sick. I also know that sicknesses and diseases are mirages and total lies of the devil. I won’t succumb to them. I walk in divine health. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
